Government Recruitment


As many as 27,275 candidates appeared for the common written competitive examination for recruitment for the posts of Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Store keeper Grade III/ Junior Clerk and typist, conducted by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms.
The exam took place from 10 am to 12 noon in 94 centres in all regions of the the Union Territory (Puducherry region 73, Karaikal 13, Mahe and Yanam 4 each). Dr  S Sundaravadivelu, Special Secretary to government (personnel) said 36,499 candidates were issued hall tickets after scrutiny. Nearly 4500 government staff were engaged in the exam. Flying squads were used to prevent malpractices. The Express had carried a news item about the inordinate delay in conducting the exams despite calling for applications a year ago. The exams results may be delayed due to a pending case in the court.
